Real Deal Steel Introduces Their 1940 Ford Coupe Body
Real Deal Steel LLC, well known for their high quality USA-built 1955-57 Chevy and 1967-69 Camaro coupe bodies is proud to offer something special to early Henry enthusiasts - their 1940 Ford coupe steel body. These bodies are 100% assembled in their factory in Sanford, Florida USA. Real Deal begins with the highest quality steel structural components and assembles them with their unique (designed in-house) assembly fixture for a factory fit every time. All structural and skin assembly is done using water cooled 220V resistance spot welders – just like you would see in a much larger automotive assembly plant. Real Deal uses 25% more spot welds than original to give their bodies added strength. Complete bodies include top skin and drip rails, quarter panels, rear body panel, doors and deck lid – all fully assembled and fitted. Real Deal Steel pays particular attention to door and deck lid fit which ultimately reduces finish time for the end user. Bodies are available with stock or 5-1/2” recessed firewall configurations. The recessed firewall is ideal for Coyote and other late model V8 installs that require extra clearance. Real Deal works closely with Dennis Carpenter Restoration Parts who offers fenders as well as other body and trim items needed to complete a ’40 coupe build. Real Deal Steel’s 1940 bodies are officially licensed by Ford Motor Company.
