Real Deal Steel now offers reproduction doors for 1956 Bel Air 2-door hardtop and convertible applications that include the convertible vent post. This addition to the doors makes it easy to fit convertibles.

The earlier versions of the doors fit only 2-door hardtops. The new doors can be modified to fit convertibles with minor welding of the convertible post that is included.

This complete inner and outer door assembly includes all correct mounting points and holes for the Bel Air side trim. The door lock location is also in the correct position for a 1956 hardtop and convertible.

The Real Deal Steel doors are made from 18-guage steel, the same as original doors, and have twice the stiffness of the 19- and 20-guage products on the market.

Real Deal Steel produces all-steel reproduction bodies for American Classics from the Forties, Fifties and Sixties: 1940 Ford five-window coupes, 1955-1957 Chevys, 1967-1969 Camaros and Firebirds and 1966-1967 Chevy II Nova two-door hardtops (in early 2016).

The bodies are assembled in Sanford, FL, from high quality steel structural components to exact factory specifications on Real Deal Steel’s proprietary assembly fixtures that guarantee exact factory-spec fit every time.

All structural and skin assembly utilizes water-cooled 220V resistance spot welders – the same technology used in much-larger automotive assembly plants. Real Deal Steel generally uses 25 percent more spot welds than original to give the bodies added strength.

In addition to factory-original bodies, Real Deal Steel also offers modification options such as customized firewalls and mini-tub wheel housings, in addition to a wide selection of individual steel panels for American classics.
